As an effective financial means to disperse and transfer agricultural risks and help rural revitalization, agricultural insurance has always been a hot topic in the world. In this paper, CiteSpace software is used for visual analysis of relevant literatures in Web of Science database and CNKI. The results showed: The United States has been in the leading position in this field earlier and consistently, and the research on agricultural insurance is on the rise all over the world. At present, the global agricultural insurance research mainly focuses on catastrophe risk, food security, rural revitalization and other aspects from the macro national strategy. From the perspective of micro products, they mainly focus on the development of index insurance and moral hazard. Next, the research about the agricultural insurance will focus on four directions:1.Innovation and organic combinations of financial products; 2. Application of new technology; 3. Dynamic adjustment of agricultural insurance premium rates and optimization of the quality of subsidies; 4. Make the best of agricultural insurance as a financial tool to provide services for rural revitalization.
