Clear data property rights are a necessary prerequisite for geoinformation data transactions. To solve the problem of uncertainty of the property rights of geoinformation data in China, the paper firstly analyzed the subject and object of geoinformation data property rights. Then, for personal geoinformation data and non-personal geoinformation data, the nature and ownership of these two kinds of data’s respective property rights were analyzed.
