New power systems and integrated energy services are two energy terms proposed by Chinese energy practitioners since 2017. This paper discusses the relationship between new power systems and integrated energy services, the author holds that there are similarities in their ideas, problems and approaches, as well as differences in their strategic positioning, physical form, scenario tasks and development stages, the practice of integrated energy service provides reference for the construction of new power system, and integrated energy service will benefit from the development of new power system. At the same time, based on the experience of integrated energy services, some suggestions on the future development of new power systems are put forward in the fields of development planning, economic policy and technology route.
