    以2010—2020年中国37个城市为样本,研究充电基础设施对新能源汽车推广的影响。研究发现:充电基础设施的完善显著提高了中国新能源汽车的销量,以城市商业服务业设施用地面积作为公共充电桩的工具变量,以城市居民住宅竣工面积作为私人充电桩的工具变量,上述结论依然成立;在人口稠密、交通拥挤的大城市,与单纯增加充电桩数量相比,改进充电技术缩短充电时间更有助于刺激新能源汽车消费,特别是纯电动汽车;充电基础设施可用性的提高、可见度的增加和充电时间的缩短均能够显著增加新能源汽车的销量。

    Abstract:

    Based on panel data of 37 cities in China from 2010 to 2020, this paper firstly quantifies the effect of charging infrastructure on the promotion of new energy vehicles. The study finds that the improvement of charging infrastructure significantly increases the sales of new energy vehicles in China. For the consideration of reverse causality, this paper takes the land area of urban commercial service facilities as the instrumental variable of public charging points, and the completed area of urban residential buildings as the instrumental variable of private charging points. The above findings still hold. In densely populated and congested large cities, improving charging technology to shorten charging time is more helpful to stimulate new energy vehicle consumption, especially pure electric vehicles, than simply increasing the number of charging posts. Improved availability of charging infrastructure, increased visibility and shorter charging time can significantly increase the sales of new energy vehicles.
