Abstract:This paper selects A-share listed companiesinShanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2020 as a sample to study the impact of CEO’s information technology background on enterprise digital transformation. It finds that CEO’s information technology background has significantly improved the level of enterprise digital transformation, while industry competition and CEO power have strengthened this effect. In addition, this effect is more significant in state-owned enterprises and subsidiaries. The research conclusion expand the research on the antecedents of executives in digital transformation and have important implications for enterprises to promote digital transformation.
