Abstract:In the background of human actively respond to climate change, this paper used the dynamic panel SYS-GMM model and data from 81 developing countries from 1990 to 2018, we empirically analyzed the impact and heterogeneity of climate change on green technology innovation. The results show that climate change can promote green technology innovation, while economic growth and demographic factors are most sensitive to the impact of climate change on green technology innovation. Countries with different government stability, quality of government institutions, the moderating effect of renewable energy policies, and the proportion of manufacturing and service industries have certain differences in whether they carry out green technology innovation in the face of climate change.
