This paper proposes a new measure of digital transformation which is different from methods used in previous studies. Using the panel data of Chinese manufacturing listed companies, this paper examines the impact of digital transformation on green innovation efficiency. The results show that: (1) Digital transformation of listed manufacturing companies can significantly improve the green innovation efficiency; (2) Digital transformation of manufacturing industry improves the green innovation efficiency by strengthening media supervision and applying virtual simulation technology. This paper offers a reference for the synergy between digital and green transformation.
