With the help of GMM and IV-2SLS models, this paper explores the effect and influence mechanism of digital economy on urban-rural integration. The conclusions are as follows: (1)In the past ten years, the average value of digital economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has risen from 0.091 to 0.965, with an average annual growth of 28.57%. The average value of urban-rural integration index has risen from 0.251 to 0.782, with an average annual growth of 13.43%;(2)Digital economy plays a significant positive role in promoting urban-rural integration. For every 1 percentage point increase in the development level of digital economy, the level of urban-rural integration will increase by 0.171%. (3)The impact of digital economy on urban-rural integration is dynamically regulated by government intervention, industrial structure upgrading, financial development and opening to the outside world. When the development level of the four is higher than the threshold, it will release the positive spillover effect and enhance the driving force of digital economy on urban-rural integration.
