Abstract:As a key link to promote the deeply integrated development of innovation chain and industrial chain, technology transfer plays an important role in accelerating the agglomeration development of manufacturing. The study adopted data mining to obtain detailed data of invention patent and utility model patent transfer in 283 cities in China from 2009 to 2019, and the influence of technology transfer on manufacturing agglomeration was investigated from both domestic and international perspectives. The results indicate that: Domestic technology transfer-in drives the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in this region and suppresses the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in neighboring regions, domestic technology transfer-out suppresses the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in this region, international technology transfer-in promotes the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in this region and neighboring regions, and international technology transfer-out drives the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in this region and suppresses the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in neighboring regions; From a regional perspective, domestic technology transfer-in drives the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in the central, western, and northeastern regions, while domestic technology transfer-out suppresses the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in the eastern and central regions. International technology transfer-in drives the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in the eastern, central, western, and northeastern regions, while international technology transfer-out promotes the agglomeration of manufacturing industries in the eastern and central regions; The promotion effect of labor mobility indicates that labor mobility can strengthen the driving effect of domestic technology transfer-in, international technology transfer-in, and international technology transfer-out on manufacturing agglomeration, as well as the inhibitory effect of domestic technology transfer-out on manufacturing agglomeration. The above conclusions provide theoretical and practical basis for improving the technology transfer system and promoting the development of manufacturing agglomeration under the new development paradigm.
