Abstract:An analysis of data from a national survey of enterprise researchers in China conducted in 2020 showed that more than eighty percent of enterprise researchers faced with S&T ethical issues in their research work. However, compared to researchers in other sectors, enterprise researchers hold a more “negative” attitude towards strengthening ethical S&T governance. Facts influencing enterprise researchers at personnel, organizational and environmental levels were also distinguished. Higher risk perception of ethical misconduct in S&T, the establishment of IRB will make enterprise researchers hold more positive attitude toward S&T ethical governance. On the other hand, the worse environment of S&T ethics will reduce researchers’ approval of S&T ethical governance. Finally, a briefly discussion is made and the theoretical and policy implications of the research findings are proposed.
