Abstract:The strategic hinterland has five characteristics: strategic, secure, supportive, agglomeration and hierarchical, and plays an important role in safeguarding national security and development. The strategic hinterland is divided into a broad strategic hinterland and a narrow strategic hinterland, and the narrow strategic hinterland can be divided into the core area of the strategic hinterland and the expansion area of the strategic hinterland. In the construction of the strategic hinterland, it is necessary to focus on the backup of key industries, the distribution of major productive forces, the guarantee of strategic resources, and the improvement of the ability to curate sources of scientific and technological innovation, so as to realize the security and controllability of key industries such as important industries, infrastructure, strategic resources, and major science and technology, continuously enhance economic strength and comprehensive national strength, and consolidate the foundation for national security development. It is necessary for government departments to follow objective laws, plan scientifically, look at the relationship between security and development dialectically, carry out research on relevant major issues, and serve scientific decision-making; It is also necessary to extensively gather advantageous resources to create conditions for undertaking industrial transfer and enhancing innovation capabilities.
