Abstract:Technology entrepreneurship is a bridge connecting technology and industry. Monitoring and evaluating the level of urban technology entrepreneurship can help China develop new productive forces according to local conditions. Based on the theory of entrepreneural ecosystem, this paper puts forward the theoretical connotation of technology entrepreneurship. Further, this paper construct an evaluation index system for urban technology entrepreneurship, and evaluate and analyze the level technology entrepreneurial in major cities. The results show that the level of urban technology entrepreneurship shows a characteristic of “strong in the east and weak in the west”. Among the top ten cities, except for Wuhan, all are eastern cities. In the past two years, the overall pattern has been relatively stable, with some cities experiencing significant changes. There are significant differences in the levels of urban technology entrepreneurship across different dimensions, with Beijing, Shenzhen, and Wuhan taking the lead in different dimensions. The coordinated development of technology entrepreneurship levels among cities in major regions needs to be strengthened. Among them, the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region is on the brink of imbalance, while the Yangtze River Delta region and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area are in a barely coordinated stage.
