There are many standards and the mark ets tend to standardize in the high te chnology industries.Firstly,the industry standards and standardiza tions were illustrated.Secondly,t he causes why industry tend to standardize are analyzed with networks methodology and it is pointed out that it is network externalities caused by products b e-coming networks in high technology i ndustries that impelled the standardizations.Thirdly,the methods of s tandard-izations are presented in the high te chnology industries.Lastly,the deficiencies in the work of standardiz ations in Chinese industry are indicated and s uggestions to address them are made.
