The increasing complexity of innovation,vigorous competition and uncertain market has led to the emer-gence of a new paradigm for technological innovation management -integrative innovation.In this paper,we f irst provide a review of the evolution of t he paradigm of technological innova tion management as the background of the emergence of the new paradigm.Then,the concept of integrative innovation was introduced and elaborated.Specifically,we focus on the following issues:what elements should be integrated?How to integrate?What principles and me thods should be followed?Based on this analysis,we discussed the application of the integrative innovation model at dif-ferent levels.Finally,the impacts of integrative innovation on China' s economic development were discuss ed and policy recommendations were provid ed.
