Many factors influence the course of the population development level in China.Based on statistical analysis,this paper evaluates comp rehensively and analyzes the major i nfluential factors of the populatio n develop-ment in China from the beginning of 1950' s to the end of 1990' s.In the meantime,it comes up with so me policy recommendation.
