In this paper, the SCP model is used to analyze Chinese supermarket chain industry. It shows that compared with the supermarket industry in developed countries, the industry in China competes severely and its performance is poor. By means of multivariate statistical analysis, the paper further gives a positive study on Chinese supermarket chain enterprises in year of 2002. On this basis, it gives some advices to the enterprises and government.
