Foreign trade of China seems particu larly important to keep the appropriate scale of development.The paper analyses the relationship between foreign trade of China and economic growth,expresses the view that i n the coming period the main target in fore ign trade is not to expand foreign exchange earning and recommends an ap-propriate scale of foreign trade of China by theory expression and linear regression analysis.
