Abstract:This paper explores the factors influencing voluntary turnover in IT companies at length by using the methods of In-depth Interview and Focus Group Discussion.Based on a field survey in 10 IT companies in Xi'an,the main findings are as follows:first,the general reasons of voluntary turnover are mainly composed of pay, management and personal factors.Second,some unique traditional cultural factors are found to have effects on voluntary turnover.Thirdly,personal career development chance and career orientation are very important specific influencing factors for technology staffs.
