Having gone through the fluctuation of the 1980s and the 1990s in the 20th century, the research of regional economics in our country will exploit new research fields in four aspects in the future and form the new research tendency. These four respects are regional innovation, urbanization, regional exploitation, coordinated development of urban - rural areas and regions.
