Based on discussing the complexity of strategic plan for regional sustainable development,this article develops the comparative study on methodology.It is agreed that applying meta-synthesis to strategic plan accords with the idea and requirement of scientific concept of development.It also expounds the importance of combining experts' experiences with scientific analysis,in order to build a kind of constituting mechanism of syncretic strategic plan,and promotes systemic thinking to be applied to practice of regional sustainable development plan comprehensively and scientifically,so as to make strategic plan and meta-synthesis evolve simultaneously in the process of influencing each other.
