There is a close relationship between economic growth and employment growth. It is generally considered that economic growth can drive employment growth and employment growth also can push economic growth. However, Chinese statistical data show that they are inconsistent. This paper analyzes their relation in theory and compares American's data with Chinese data. From different aspects, the paper analyzes the reasons of the inconsistency. And based on the effective employment theory, the paper draws the conclusion that the interaction mechanism in economic growth and employment growth also exists in China, which is verified by regression analysis. At last, some suggestions are proposed.
