It's significant to compile record of science and technology in the new period of time. The authors have investigated the current situation of local compile record of science and technology in China, and found some ubiquitous problems, such as unreasonable setting content, not canonical collecting items, too long publishing period and record's worse practicability. All problems are not attached enough importance to the correlative manage department, and the authors bring forward corresponding advices and policies.
