Based on the management meaning and practical recept of remanufacture, traditional production and operation, the concept of remanufacturing production mode is put forward in the paper. It sums up seven characteristics of the mode and review the paper on the main line. The paper divides the American research history into two stages, concludes eight experiences which could use for reference to our country in the first stage, expatiates the research contents and traits in the second stage. The formative mechanism and the possible development trends in the two stages are analyzed. And the formative process and traits of our countryg research are summarized. To contrast with the United States, the differences of the two lays are pointed out, and the issues of spanning development with Chineses characteristics are put forward. The possibility of development and the direction, contents and manners that should be studied currently and in the future are analyzed.
