Marine resources are the important basis for the economic and social development of China in the new century.The science and technology in marine resource area is superior in China's scientific and technological fields and will support and lead the marine economic development go ahead.Base on the analyzing and summarizing of the achievements and problems of marine resource S&T development at home and abroad,we discussed the general aim,key area,superior project and preceding technology of marine resources S&T development during the 11th"five year plan"period.For improving China's innovation ability in such field,relative policy suggestions are made in this paper.
