The data from the survey of Sloped Land Conversion Program(SLCP) in 2003 and 2005 was used to evaluate the effect on off-farm job in Shaanxi,Gansu and Sichuan province.This paper concludes that SLCP can not promote transferring of surplus rural labor,however,SLCP can improve the offfarm income through increasing work time of farmers who already have off-farm job.So the effect to off-farm job of SLCP is not positive enough,especially in the field of stimulating the transferring of rural labor.
