Unlike previous research on R&D alliance,social capital has a great effect on R&D alliance practice.From the interaction relation between social capital and R&D alliance,the paper analyzes the impacts of social capital on the forming process of R&D alliance with four influencing factors: path-dependence,transaction cost,cooperation opportunity and knowledge integration & diffusion.We focus on studying the role of social capital in the dynamic process of R&D alliance formation.
