In this paper the increasing gap between the rich and the poor in China was studied,and the current situation of social polarization was focused on.We analyzed the cause of these problems and set forth some countermeasure to solve the social polarization resulted from the gap between the rich and the poor and the imbalance development in differ- ent areas.It is pointed that consummating the social market economy system and advocating the views of social honor or disgrace is necessary for establishing the harmonious society.
