In this paper, we analyye the modularization of modern industrial structure, and point out that the independent innovation of firms in the modular industrial structure is characterized by many types of modular innovations and integrative innovations. We also provide the firms of developing country in the modular industrial structure with two ways to developing the capability of independent innovation, that is, the integrator oriented strategy and the module provider oriented strategy.
