Studies on the direction and intensity of urban economic contact and the inter-regional economic relationship often appear separately in urban or regional planning.This paper tries to make a matching analysis between the direction and intensity of urban economic contact and the inter-regional economic relationship in case study of Nanjing,the result of which can benefit Nanjing's urban or regional planning and provide an idea for similar studies hereafter.
