Abstract:It is of great significance for enterprises to enhance cross-border search and enhance knowledge dynamic ability to promote dual innovation, break through the shackles of conventions, cope with environmental changes calmly, and obtain core competitive advantages. However, the mechanism by which cross-border search affects the performance of enterprises'' dual innovation needs to be further explored. Based on dynamic capability theory, this paper discusses how cross-border search affects the performance of dual innovation, and examines the mediating effect of knowledge dynamic capability and the moderating effect of environmental complexity. The empirical test was carried out on 379 questionnaire data of enterprise managers. The results show that cross-border search has a positive effect on the performance of dual innovation through knowledge acquisition ability, knowledge creation ability and knowledge integration ability. Environmental complexity negatively moderates the relationship between cross-border search and dual innovation performance. The research results reveal the ways, processes and applicable conditions of cross-border search to promote the dual innovation performance of enterprises, and provide theoretical basis for the innovation practice of enterprises, so as to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises and help enterprises break through the key core technologies.
